Visitor Guidelines

Thank you for visiting Giac Tam Zen Center. If you are new to Buddhism, please feel free to simply relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. In order to maintain tranquility in the temple, we ask that you observe the following guidelines:

  • Dress modestly and respectfully; avoid wearing revealing clothes.

  • Kindly remove shoes when entering the main floor.

  • Speak softly and maintain a peaceful demeanor throughout your visit.

  • Follow the instructions and guidance of monastery staff or volunteers.

  • Participate respectfully in activities or ceremonies if invited.

  • If you have questions, ask respectfully and at appropriate times.

  • Refrain from using cell phones during activities, meditation, and ceremonies. Please silence or turn off your device.

  • Refrain from taking photos inside the Meditation hall unless given permission.

  • No pets, meat, seafood, alcohol, or tobacco/vapes are permitted on the grounds.
