Consultation with Monastic Staff
The objective of this program is to provide members with enhanced opportunities for individual interaction with teachers. This setting allows participants to seek clarification, receive support and guidance, and foster stronger relationships than might be possible in a more structured practice environment.
In addition, GTMC also offers family (couple, parent-child, siblings, etc.) or small group (e.g., friends, colleague, etc.) consultation with the teacher through the relationship renewal process, often called "Beginning Anew," adopted from Plum Village Tradition. This is a four-part mindfulness-based practice designed to heal, reconcile, and deepen connections through honest, compassionate communication. It fosters understanding by allowing each person to express appreciation, share regrets, and voice hurts without blame, transforming conflict into deeper intimacy.

Mentorship Program
The GTMC Mentorship Program provides active members with the opportunity to receive personalized guidance in their Zen practice. This program is designed for those who wish to deepen their relationship with an experienced practitioner and further their spiritual development within the community. It allows participants to ask questions, receive support and guidance, and get to know each other beyond the boundaries of formal practice settings.

-
Eligibility: Mentorship is open to members who are actively engaged in practice with the GTMC community.
